First we understood what this desire is and how and where it originates. Desire is a thought which arise in one’s mind. Our mind is place of different thoughts where so many thoughts aroused and vanishes. This is a continuous process.
What Geeta says “It is the desire which tied a soul into a human body” This is a scientific process of “Prakriti”; nature. Self realization can only be happened in state of ‘no desires’. How this system works this is clearly stated in Geeta.
We can understand with help of followings:-
1. Soul – ‘Aatma’
2. Five Sense Organs – ‘Indriya’
3. Nature – ‘Prakriti’
4. Desire – ‘Icchha or Kamnaa’
5. Mechanism of Mind – ‘Mana’
Soul:-
As said in Chapter 15 Stanza number 7 of Geeta whereas GOD says “Soul in this human body is my eternal part” Some more properties of Soul as described in Geeta; it can never be cut into pieces, it cannot be burned by fire, water and wind cannot affect soul. But here what I want to say in this article is that soul is in a human body is tied be three properties of nature; these are Sattoguna, Razoguna and Tamoguna.
Five Senses:-
These are five sense organs of human body. These are called ‘indriya’ . All these sense organs have their perception power. They all works as preceptors of human body.
Nature:-
This is said as ‘Prakriti’ in Geeta. It works with its three ‘Gunnas’; properties. These are Sattoguna, Razoguna and Tamoguna.
Desires:-
Desire is a thought which arise in one’s mind. It can also be said as lust. Lust has no limit it is just like a fire where more fuel you put in more it burnt out. Like way a lust also cannot be satisfied even it goes up and up.
Mechanism of Mind:-
Our mind did actual works. This is the only living program between soul and nature. It works with the help of our senses. Ours five senses are exposed to this nature and this nature has abundance of material attractions. Mind which remains even with a single sense; can attract towards material. Here desire for that particular sense is come into existance.Than mind after manipulating so many data stored in it; brought intelligence with it and at last this intelligence brought soul with it. This process is like this:-
Material Attractions ß----Desires----ß---- Senses ß----- Mind ß-----Intelligenceß----- Soul
\
(Desire develops here)
And after that a Soul forgets its actual mission of self realization and indulged in materialistic activities. It is also called as decay of Soul. But in actual Soul is not decayed because no deformities can be possible in Soul. It is the decay of the process what soul has to adopt for self realization.
It is said in Chapter 2 Stanza 42 of Geeta that Senses are more powerful than human body and mind is more powerful than senses and intelligence is more powerful than mind and soul is more powerful that intelligence.
It is also said in Chapter 2 Stanza 43 of Geeta whereas GOD says – Hey Arjuna ! You are advised to first understand this soul and this process and than control over this process with yours strongest soul which is beyond the intelligence, mind and senses.
Here Lord Krishna suggests Arjuna to adopt reverse of above said process. This will be as follow:-
Soul----à Intelligence----àMind----àSenses----à-----Desires----à Material Attractions
\
Remove Desires From Here
As discussed Soul is the most powerful so one can have a control over formation of materialistic desires with the help of powerful Soul as taught by Lord Krishna.
Now we have understood how state of ‘no-desires’ is related with self realization
In Chapter 14 Stanza 5 of Geeta, it is said that “These are the three properties of nature ‘Prakriti ke tin Gunna’ satogunna, razogunna and tamogunna which are only responsible to keep a Soul in a human body”. It is only desire which brought these properties into soul. In other words with the help of desires these three properties of nature play this game with Soul.
So, in case of no desire not of any gunaa or properties of nature interact with soul and soul will be self realized |
